I am happy to say, today the television and my mailbox have been free of political advertisements. It could be a long time before all the political signs are gone from along the roads, though. Yesterday was our election.

This year's election was painful. I took the kids and voted yesterday morning, but I am neither disappointed that some of the candidates for whom I voted lost nor elated that some won. Across the board, our options were very poor this year. It seemed that everyone ran a nasty, misleading campaign.

Well, it's over until next year.
